Howard Feddema, Ed.D.
Howard Feddema is Senior Associate Emeritus with The Cambrian Group.
He was our first Associate, the first to facilitate a strategic planning process on his own. He retired from active facilitation in 2012, but still serves Cambrian as an advisor, and as a resource for facilitator development as well as marketing.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Illinois State University, his Master of Arts degree at the University of Illinois, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Administration, also from the University of Illinois. He earned his Doctor of Education degree at Northern Illinois University.
For eight years, he served as the Director of Planning for Township High School District 214, one of Illinois’ largest school systems. Serving over 250,000 residents in suburban Chicago, District 214 is well known for its quality programs and services. As Director of Planning, he was responsible for developing and coordinating the district’s strategic planning system.
His educational experience also includes: administrative assistant to the superintendent; assistant principal; high school teacher; and athletic coach. He also served as project director of a regional “future studies” program for highly gifted students.
Howard has made presentations and conducted training sessions on strategic planning, and organizational development throughout the United States and abroad. He has facilitated plans in over 160 districts and organizations in 28 states and seven countries.
His international clients include: American International Schools in Dhaka, Bangladesh; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Taipei, Taiwan; and school districts in Cambridge, Kitchener, Toronto, and Waterloo, Ontario; Bonn International School and Frankfurt International School, Germany; The American School of Paris, France; International School of Beijing, China as well as governmental agencies in The Cayman Islands, British West Indies.
